Superconductors with a Topological Gap

چکیده
I review a new superconductivity mechanism in which the gap is opened through topological and not Landau of spontaneous symmetry breaking. As consequence, low-energy effective theory describes these superconductors Landau–Ginzburg theory, formulated terms local-order parameter, but topological-field emerging gauge fields. This realized as global superconductivty Josephson junction arrays thin superconducting films with thicknesses comparable to coherence length, exhibits emergent granularity.
